Cole Pfister, a first-generation rodeo athlete from the small town of Homestead, Iowa, now based in Sulphur, Oklahoma, has risen quickly in the world of professional bullfighting. Growing up on a 15-acre ranch with 12 horses, he initially competed on bulls and tried bareback riding before back-to-back injuries led him to bullfighting where his speed, athleticism from high school sports, and greater control using his feet proved ideal.
He burst onto the scene in 2023, winning Bullfighter of the Year in his rookie season with the Missouri Rodeo Cowboys Association, as voted by the cowboys. In 2024, he dominated the Bullfighters Tour and Maverick Tour. In 2025, Cole was crowned the Bulls, Bands & Barrels Bullfighting Champion and qualified for his first Bullfighters Only Championship in Las Vegas.
