SPANISH ATHLETE MAKES HISTORY IN LAS VEGAS
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Daniel Alcala dominated the BFO World Championships in Las Vegas event to claim the cevent victory at the 2025 BFO World Championships presented by Greenstone.
The three-day freestyle bullfighting competition was held at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, drawing massive crowds for high-stakes matchups featuring top athletes facing off against aggressive bulls in a judged format emphasizing style, control and athleticism.
Alcala is the first Spanish athlete to win in Las Vegas, and he swept the event with consistent excellence. He topped the semifinals with 92 points and matched that score in the championship round, edging out Moorman for the event crown. Alcala’s earlier rounds included 91 on Dec. 11 and 87.5 on Dec. 12.
